Many animals, such as sloths are nocturnal (active at night). They sleep during the day and feed at night when its cooler- this helps them to save energy.
Many animals that live in the canopy have strong limbs so that they can spend all day climbing and leaping from tree to tree. eg: Howler Monkey
Some birds have short, pointy wings so that they can easily manoeuvre between the dense tangle of the branches in the tree. Eg: the Harpy eagle.
Many animals have camouflage eg: leaf-tailed geckos look like leaves so they can hide from predators
Some animals are adapted to the low light levels on the forest floor e.g. anteaters have a sharp sense of smell and hearing, so they can detect predators without seeing them
